6 February 2020
PRESS RELEASE 14 February 2020
There’s lots going on for families at St Barbe over the school holiday, something for children of all ages. A picture trail around the Museum or designing a Roman coin inspired by our Boldre Hoard, letting their imagination take them out to sea in our popular Pilot boat or dressing up in costume to see how the smugglers hid their booty or perhaps taking an in-depth look at our Jeremy Gardiner exhibition and considering the work behind the art.
To quote a recent visitor “Excellent! Children are so well provided for here - interesting & challenging work sheets”
To make things even better - pick up a copy of The Lymington Times to show the press release to our volunteers on our Welcome Desk you can claim 10% off a Family ticket! (2 adults and up to 4 children, usually £12)
Wednesday 19 February is our Buzz Day; in the morning at 10.15am join our Master Storyteller as he weaves his Winter magic, telling stories which will get everyone on their feet (in partnership with Hoburne.) At 1pm there is the opportunity to make your own 3D model reflecting local coastal landmarks, inspired by our Jeremy Gardiner exhibition, looking at the layers of rock formations along the coastline. No need to book, just turn up for either free session.
