St Barbe and the Bobby Buddies

22 October 2019

Hampshire Police have asked for St Barbe 'Knit and Natter' group to help with a lovely initiative to help a child going through a distressing experience.

The 'Bobby Buddies' project aims to get our community to create small teddy bears to Hampshire Police Officers to use when talking to and supporting children affected by Domestic Abuse and any other crime. A Bobby Buddies can be used as a communication aid, to comfort and reassure and to show the child there are good people in our community.

Bobby Buddies can be created by knitting or crochet. We thought it was such a good idea that we'd ask for help. If you would like to make a Bobby Buddie please collect a pattern from our welcome desk or click below for patterns

Please bring you finished creation into St Barbe and we will pass on to our liasion officer. Let's see how many we can make to help this brilliant initiative!
