We asked Catherine Jones, aka Kate, to introduce herself:
I first discovered art as a student in London, wandering around the Courtauld Institute, which then was almost opposite my hall of residence. I have enjoyed art in its many forms since then.
I am a lawyer and most of my career was with BAE SYSTEMS, but I also worked for an Italian defence company, spending a lot of time in Rome. Latterly I worked at Bristol Water but after grappling with the problem of a baby alligator in a reservoir I moved closer to home.
I am a sailor. For 10 years I co-owned a boat called “Goodbye Mickey Mouse”, named after a Mustang aircraft in World War 2, in a book by Len Deighton, which always returned home safe.
I am very much looking forward to being part of the team at St Barbe, as it moves into a new and exciting chapter of its history.
